Elliptical Trainer
Heels drive the pedals in a smooth circle
This machine provides low-impact cardiovascular conditioning while heavily engaging the quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings. It builds endurance and leg strength without placing stress on the knees or hips.
HOW TO DO IT
- Step onto the foot pedals and grip the moving handles firmly.
- Select your desired resistance level and program on the console.
- Push through your heels to drive the pedals in a smooth circle.
- Coordinate your arm push and pull with your leg stride.
- Maintain an upright torso and look forward throughout the session.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Rising up on the toes instead of keeping heels down.
- Leaning heavily on the handles for support.
- Allowing the knees to cave inward during the stride.
- Hunching the shoulders while gripping the bars.
TIPS
- Drive through the mid-foot and heel to maximize glute activation.
- Keep your core braced to prevent swaying at high speeds.
- Focus on pushing the pedals down rather than just stepping.
