Recumbent Bike
Back pressed firmly against the support pad
This low-impact cardio machine targets the quadriceps while engaging the glutes and hamstrings. It builds leg endurance and cardiovascular health with minimal stress on the lower back.
HOW TO DO IT
- Sit on the seat and slide it forward until your knees have a slight bend at full extension.
- Place your feet flat on the pedals and secure them with the straps if available.
- Select your desired resistance level or programmed workout on the digital console.
- Pedal in a smooth, circular motion to begin the exercise session.
- Maintain an upright posture with your back pressed firmly against the support pad.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Locking the knees completely at the bottom of the pedal stroke.
- Slouching forward and lifting the lower back off the seat pad.
- Pedaling too fast with zero resistance, reducing muscle engagement.
- Bouncing in the seat due to excessive speed or poor seat adjustment.
TIPS
- Drive through the entire foot rather than just the toes to engage more muscle fibers.
- Keep your core lightly braced to prevent sliding forward in the seat.
- Focus on pushing the pedal away and pulling it back up for a complete rotation.
