Kettlebell Sumo Squat
Uses a wide stance with toes pointed out to hold a kettlebell.
This strength movement targets the quadriceps and hips by utilizing a wide stance to maintain an upright torso. It builds lower body power while improving hip mobility.
HOW TO DO IT
- Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width and toes pointed out.
- Hold one kettlebell with both hands at chest level.
- Brace your core and push your hips back to descend.
- Lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
- Drive through your heels to return to the starting position.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Letting the knees cave inward during descent.
- Rounding the lower back while holding the weight.
- Lifting the heels off the ground at the bottom.
TIPS
- Push your knees outward to track over your toes.
- Keep your chest lifted throughout the entire movement.
- Drive through the mid-foot for maximum stability.
