Treadmill Run

Running with a cadence of 170 to 180 steps per minute

This cardio exercise improves cardiovascular endurance and leg strength through controlled running mechanics. It allows for precise speed and incline adjustments to target specific fitness zones.

HOW TO DO IT

  1. Straddle the belt and set your desired speed and incline.
  2. Start the machine and step onto the moving belt carefully.
  3. Land on your mid-foot with a slight forward lean.
  4. Pump your arms naturally while keeping your shoulders relaxed.
  5. Look forward at the console rather than down at your feet.
  6. Gradually reduce speed to a walk before stepping off.

COMMON MISTAKES

  • Holding onto the front console or side rails.
  • Overstriding and landing heavily on the heels.
  • Looking down at feet instead of straight ahead.
  • Stopping the belt abruptly without slowing down first.

TIPS

  • Keep your core engaged to stabilize your torso.
  • Maintain a cadence of roughly 170 to 180 steps per minute.
  • Avoid gripping the handrails to ensure proper running form.

SAFETY

  • Clip the safety key to your clothing to stop the belt if you fall.
  • Step fully onto the side rails before dismounting to avoid friction burns.
