Works

  • Chest
  • Lower Chest
  • Triceps
  • Front Delts
  • Shoulders

How to do it

  1. Set both pulleys to the highest position on the cable machine.
  2. Stand in the center with one foot slightly forward for stability.
  3. Grab the handles with palms facing down and elbows bent.
  4. Press the handles down and together until arms are fully extended.
  5. Squeeze your chest hard at the bottom of the movement.
  6. Slowly return your hands to the starting height.

Common mistakes

  • Using momentum to swing the weight down.
  • Locking elbows out completely at the bottom.
  • Raising shoulders toward ears during the press.
  • Letting the weights snap back too quickly.

Tips

  • Keep your core tight to prevent leaning forward.
  • Focus on driving the movement with your chest, not your triceps.
  • Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the set.
