VARIATIONS
360 Degree Jump
Body completes a full 360-degree spin
An advanced plyometric drill that develops explosive vertical power, rotational velocity, and aerial body control. It trains the lower body to generate force while managing high momentum during a full mid-air turn.
HOW TO DO IT
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent.
- Swing arms back aggressively while dipping into a quarter squat.
- Explode vertically while whipping arms and torso to initiate a full spin.
- Spot your original landing zone early in the flight phase.
- Land softly on the balls of your feet with knees bent.
- Absorb the impact immediately by sinking back into a squat position.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Under-rotating due to insufficient vertical height.
- Landing with stiff legs instead of preparing for impact.
- Allowing knees to collapse inward upon landing.
- Opening the body too early in the air, slowing rotation.
TIPS
- Generate most rotational momentum from a powerful arm swing rather than just twisting the hips.
- Keep eyes focused on finding the floor as quickly as possible during the spin.
- Commit fully to jump height to ensure enough time to complete the rotation.
SAFETY
- High risk of ankle sprains or knee ligament strain if landing mechanics fail.
- Ensure adequate clear space and a non-slip surface before attempting.
- Do not attempt without mastering basic vertical jumps and 180-degree turns first.
