VARIATIONS
Battle Ropes
Shoulders slam alternating ropes to create continuous waves.
This exercise builds shoulder endurance and core stability through continuous wave generation. It elevates heart rate while reinforcing upper body power output.
HOW TO DO IT
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent.
- Grip one rope end in each hand with palms facing down.
- Keep your torso upright and core braced tight.
- Slam one arm down forcefully while raising the other.
- Alternate arms rapidly to create continuous waves.
- Maintain a steady rhythm without stopping the motion.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Using only the wrists instead of the whole arm.
- Letting the lower back arch during high intensity.
- Stopping the wave motion between arm switches.
- Standing too far away from the anchor point.
TIPS
- Drive the movement from your shoulders, not your wrists.
- Keep your hips back to protect your lower back.
- Exhale sharply as your hands slam toward the floor.
SAFETY
- Ensure the anchor point is secure before starting.
- Clear the surrounding area to avoid tripping on ropes.
