How to do it
- Stand upright holding the EZ-bar with a shoulder-width underhand grip.
- Lock your elbows at your sides and keep your shoulders back.
- Curl the bar upward toward your shoulders while squeezing your biceps.
- Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
- Lower the bar slowly until your arms are fully extended.
Common mistakes
- Swinging the hips or using momentum to lift the weight.
- Letting the elbows drift forward during the ascent.
- Dropping the weight too fast on the way down.
- Shrugging the shoulders instead of isolating the arms.
Tips
- Keep your elbows pinned to your ribs throughout the lift.
- Rotate your pinkies slightly upward at the top for a harder squeeze.
- Maintain a neutral wrist position to leverage the bar angle.
