VARIATIONS
Stationary Bike
Feet push down to rotate bike pedals smoothly.
This low-impact cardio exercise primarily targets the quadriceps while engaging the glutes, hamstrings, and calves. It builds leg endurance and improves cardiovascular health with minimal joint stress.
HOW TO DO IT
- Adjust the seat height so your knee has a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke.
- Sit on the saddle with your core engaged and back straight.
- Place your feet on the pedals and secure them with the straps or cleats.
- Push down through the balls of your feet to rotate the pedals smoothly.
- Maintain a consistent cadence and breathing rhythm throughout the session.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Setting the seat too high, causing hip rocking.
- Slouching forward and rounding the lower back.
- Pedaling only with the toes instead of the whole foot.
TIPS
- Drive through the mid-foot rather than just the toes.
- Keep your hips level and avoid rocking side to side.
- Relax your grip on the handlebars to reduce shoulder tension.
