How to do it
- Start in a high plank position with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- Lower your chest all the way to the floor.
- Push up halfway until your elbows are at a 90-degree angle.
- Lower your body back down to the floor immediately.
- Press all the way up to the starting position to complete one rep.
Common mistakes
- Rushing the partial rep instead of controlling the movement.
- Flaring elbows out too wide during the press.
- Letting the hips drop when fatigue sets in.
- Not going deep enough on the initial descent.
Tips
- Keep your core braced to prevent your hips from sagging.
- Maintain a straight line from your head to your heels.
- Control the descent on both the full and partial lowers.
