VARIATIONS

Omni Cable Crossover

One hand pulls from high while the other pulls from low.

This exercise targets the entire pectoral region by combining high-to-low and low-to-high movements in one set. It provides constant tension across all chest fibers for balanced development.

HOW TO DO IT

  1. Set one pulley to the highest position and the other to the lowest.
  2. Stand centered between the towers with a staggered stance for stability.
  3. Grasp the high handle with one hand and the low handle with the other.
  4. Pull the handles together in front of your chest while keeping elbows slightly bent.
  5. Squeeze your pectorals hard at the point of maximum contraction.
  6. Return to the start position under control to stretch the muscle fibers.

COMMON MISTAKES

  • Using momentum to swing the weights instead of controlling the path.
  • Straightening the arms completely and shifting tension to the triceps.
  • Allowing the shoulders to roll forward during the contraction phase.

TIPS

  • Keep your core braced to prevent your torso from rotating.
  • Focus on driving the movement with your elbows rather than your hands.
  • Maintain a slight forward lean to optimize the line of pull.
