VARIATIONS
Seated Knee Tuck
Hands rest on the floor behind the hips.
This bodyweight exercise targets the abdominal muscles and obliques by flexing the hips while maintaining a seated position. It builds core stability and control without requiring any equipment.
HOW TO DO IT
- Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight out.
- Place your hands on the ground slightly behind your hips.
- Lean back slightly to engage your core and lift your feet.
- Pull your knees in toward your chest while keeping your feet off the floor.
- Extend your legs back out without letting your heels touch the ground.
- Repeat the tucking motion for the desired number of repetitions.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Rounding the lower back excessively during the tuck.
- Letting the heels drop to the floor between reps.
- Using momentum to swing the legs instead of muscle control.
- Holding the breath instead of breathing rhythmically.
TIPS
- Keep your chest up and spine tall throughout the movement.
- Control the extension phase to maximize time under tension.
- Focus on pulling with your hips rather than just bending your knees.
