Alternating Cable Front Raise

This isolation movement targets the anterior deltoids using constant cable tension to build shoulder strength and definition.

HOW TO DO IT

  1. Stand facing a low pulley with a single handle in one hand.
  2. Keep your elbow straight or slightly bent throughout the movement.
  3. Raise the handle forward and up until your arm is parallel to the floor.
  4. Lower the weight slowly back to the starting position.
  5. Switch hands and repeat the motion with the opposite arm.

COMMON MISTAKES

  • Using body swing to lift the weight.
  • Raising the arm higher than shoulder level.
  • Bending the elbow excessively during the raise.

TIPS

  • Lead the movement with your knuckles, not your elbow.
  • Keep your torso rigid to prevent swinging for momentum.
  • Pause briefly at the top to maximize time under tension.
