Works

  • Shoulders
  • Abdominals
  • Triceps

How to do it

  1. Place hands slightly wider than shoulder-width on the floor.
  2. Extend legs back so your body forms a straight line.
  3. Tighten your abs and glutes to lock your position.
  4. Lower your chest until your elbows reach a 90-degree angle.
  5. Push through your palms to return to the start.

Common mistakes

  • Letting the hips sag or pike upward.
  • Flaring elbows out too wide from the torso.
  • Dropping the head forward instead of keeping it aligned.

Tips

  • Keep your neck neutral by looking at the floor.
  • Push the floor away at the top to spread your shoulder blades.
  • Imagine screwing your hands into the ground to engage lats.
