VARIATIONS
Band Split Squat
Elastic band held at shoulder height provides tension
This unilateral movement builds leg strength using elastic tension. It isolates the quadriceps while challenging stability.
HOW TO DO IT
- Stand on the center of the band with one foot.
- Step the other foot back into a staggered stance.
- Hold the band handles at shoulder height.
- Lower your hips until both knees bend to ninety degrees.
- Push through the front heel to return to standing.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Letting the front knee cave inward during descent.
- Rising onto the toes instead of driving through heels.
- Allowing the band to lose tension at the top.
TIPS
- Keep your torso upright to emphasize the quads.
- Prevent the band from slipping under your arch.
- Maintain tension on the band throughout the descent.
