VARIATIONS
Omni Cable Crossover
One hand pulls from high while the other pulls from low.
This exercise targets the entire pectoral region by combining high-to-low and low-to-high movements in one set. It provides constant tension across all chest fibers for balanced development.
HOW TO DO IT
- Set one pulley to the highest position and the other to the lowest.
- Stand centered between the towers with a staggered stance for stability.
- Grasp the high handle with one hand and the low handle with the other.
- Pull the handles together in front of your chest while keeping elbows slightly bent.
- Squeeze your pectorals hard at the point of maximum contraction.
- Return to the start position under control to stretch the muscle fibers.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Using momentum to swing the weights instead of controlling the path.
- Straightening the arms completely and shifting tension to the triceps.
- Allowing the shoulders to roll forward during the contraction phase.
TIPS
- Keep your core braced to prevent your torso from rotating.
- Focus on driving the movement with your elbows rather than your hands.
- Maintain a slight forward lean to optimize the line of pull.
